Child Find

Child Find

Child Find is an ongoing cooperative effort that must involve state and local education agencies, parents, the community, professionals, related organizations, and private schools. This involvement is based on the premise that parents and public agency personnel, working together cooperatively, can successfully locate and identify children in need of early intervention of special education and related services.

Each local education agency is responsible for ensuring that all children with disabilities from birth to twenty-one (21) years within its jurisdiction and in need of special education and related services are located, identified, and evaluated at no cost to the parent or guardian.

In effort to fulfill this requirement, the Spring Hill School District invites yo to contact your area school district if you know of a child in need of special education or related services.
